Example: Opening a Request by Mail
To configure SecureChange so that users can open a request to the "Need Access" workflow by email:
- Create an email account on your mail server where the requests will be sent, for example:

password - In SecureChange, create the inbound mailbox:
- Go to Settings > SecureChange API.
- At the bottom of the page, click Add mail.
Enter the details for the mailbox:
- Name: Enter
Requests for Need Access - Select workflow: Select Need Access
- Username: Enter the username of the email account on your mail server, for example:
[email protected] - Password: Enter the password of the email account on your mail server, for example:
password
- Name: Enter
- Click Test.
If the test fails, make sure that the details of your mail server are correct in Settings > Mail, and that the username and password of the email account are correct.
- Click Save.
To test the mailbox, send an email to the email account ([email protected]) and enter Test as the subject. Within a few minutes, a request with the subject Test is opened in SecureChange and the date the email was sent is the Date Opened for the request.
