Upgrading TOS Classic in High Availability
Overview
The process for upgrading your TOS Classic HA setup leaves the servers in their original active and standby configuration when the upgrade has completed. You also will not have to run the failover command.
Upgrade Process
Use the screen command to make sure that TOS Classic management commands run to completion.
- Backup the active HA server. See Backing up TOS Classic.
- Upgrade TOS on the active HA server. See Upgrading TOS Classic.
Wait for the upgrade of the active HA server to complete before moving on to the next step.
- Upgrade TOS Classic on the standby HA server. See Upgrading TOS Classic.
When this procedure has been completed both servers will be upgraded, retaining the original configuration of Server A as the active HA server and Server B as the standby server.
