Assigning Domains to Users
Overview
When you enable Multi-Domain management, you can assign SecureTrack domains to users. With Multi-Domain, a user can:
- Add objects from those domains to an Access Request
- Create requests that are associated with a specified domain
Like with role assignment, you can assign domains directly to users, or you can assign domains to groups. All group members inherit the domain assignments of the groups they are in.
Note: If you assign a domain to the Any User account, all users have permissions for that domain. By default, the Default domain is assigned to Any User so that all users have permissions to the Default domain. If you want to restrict access to the Default domain, you must remove Default domain from the Domains for Any User.
Assign Domains to a User or Group
- In Settings > Users, select a user or group.
- Click Domains.
-
Select the domains to assign to the user or group from the list of available domains.
- To assign to the user or group any domains that will be added to SecureTrack, select Automatically add new domains.
- To display domains that are assigned to the user or group from parent groups, select Show domains of parent groups.
