Using Local DNS Over Fortigate DNS

Overview

This procedure configures SecureTrack to use the local DNS rather than the Fortigate DNS, which cannot correctly resolve FQDNs.

Use Local DNS

This procedure is relevant for Fortinet devices.

  1. Navigate to: https://<SecureTrack_IP>/securetrack/admin/stcgitest.htm

  2. Navigate to Edit StConf > Fetch Current StConf.

  3. Add this row in the file: 
    <Skip_Resolve_FQDNs_In_FMG_Fw>true<Skip_Resolve_FQDNs_In_FMG_Fw>

  4. Click Submit New Conf.
