All About Placeholders

When sending the Workflow Integrator (WI) request, SecureChange runs a script that parses the JSON template and replaces placeholders with data from the SecureChange ticket.

The Info menu () lists all predefined placeholders - both non-field related placeholders and placeholders associated with complex field data.

Users can develop custom placeholders to retrieve data that is not represented by an existing placeholder, or to convert an existing placeholder to a different format, such as a different date format. You upload these custom placeholders to WI.

When resolving placeholder values, WI looks for custom placeholders first, then for predefined placeholders, and then try to resolve the values from fields in the ticket in SecureChange.
