This topic is intended for SecureChange workflow owners, who are responsible for creating and maintaining workflows. |
Overview
A workflow is a set of steps to complete a change request. For details about the types of workflow, see About Workflows.
What Can I Do Here?
On the Workflows page you can:

Create a new workflow from a template: Click on one of the workflow templates to create a workflow that has the steps that are generally necessary for each type of workflow. Then, configure the workflow options and ticket steps for your needs.

Create a new blank workflow: Click New Workflow to create a new workflow has that one step and no fields. Then, configure the workflow options and ticket steps for your needs. For further information, see Creating an Empty Workflow

Create a new workflow as a duplicate of an existing workflow: Select a workflow and click to see the steps that are in the new workflow. Then, configure the workflow options and ticket steps for your needs.

Identify workflows with invalid steps: A icon indicates that the workflow has an invalid configuration. Click on the name of the workflow to identify invalid steps in the workflow, for details see Configuring Workflow Steps.

Review the status of workflows:The Status column indicates whether the workflow is active or inactive. Users can only create requests with active workflows. Click on the name of a workflow to change the status.

Select an existing workflow to edit: Click on the name of an existing workflow to see the steps that are in the workflow. Then, configure the workflow options and ticket steps for your needs. for details see Configuring Workflow Steps.

Delete a workflow: Select a workflow and click to delete the workflow.
When you delete a workflow, you cannot create a new request from the workflow, but you can continue to handle existing tickets that are based on the deleted workflow.
