Using the Rule Recertification Field
Overview
The rule recertification field receives rules from the SecureTrack Rule Viewer and lets you manage the process of certifying or decertifying selected rules.
What Can I do Here?
- Certify rules: Click
to open the Certify Rules dialog and define the period of time for the next certification review.
- Decertify rules: Click
to open the Decertify Rules dialog and enter reasons for the decertification.
- Select all: Click to select all the rules displayed in the rules table.
- Remove selection: Removes the selected rules from the workflow step. At least one rule must remain in the table. If all rules are selected the Remove selection button is disabled.
- Filter: Displays rules marked as certified, decertified, rules that do not have a status or all rules.
- Update metadata: Click
when you have completed all the recertification changes and are ready to populate the rule metadata fields in SecureTrack. This action is irreversible. However to change the metadata, you can either select the ticket and redo the step or create a new recertification ticket containing the same rules.
In the SecureTrack Rule Viewer, the following rule recertification metadata fields are populated after you click Update metadata:
- Certification Status: The status of the rule (certify, decertify, or blank)
- Certification Date: The date that the certification decision was implemented
- Certification Expiration: The date the rule certification expires, after which, it must be reviewed and recertified
These columns do not appear in SecureChange.
