LDAP Synchronization

Overview

Every 24 hours, SecureChange checks any configured LDAP directories for changes and updates its database accordingly. This includes changes like updating emails, users moving groups, and deleting users or groups that were removed from LDAP.

During the synchronization, updates to the groups in the LDAP directory will update the relevant records in SecureChange repository respectively.

Changes to member profiles of large groups may not fully update until the group member signs in. Large groups are defined in Configuring the Organizational LDAP Settings.

After synchronization, SecureChange updates tickets and workflow step participants. If tickets or workflows become invalidated, SecureChange logs an administrative message.

In addition to the automatic synchronization, you can trigger also trigger the process manually.
